JC Bring Strong Numbers To 2016 Road Metros

Junior Cyclist brought strong numbers to Metros as Waratah Park at the weekend. In all, we had 15 riders from ATTA-NSW, LACC and DHBC. We managed to have a rider entered in every event from under 8 all the way up to under 15.

In the under 13 girls we had four JC riders representing ATTA-NSW in a field of seven. They all gave it their best despite recent illness for a number of them. Alex Pappas stayed with the lead group for much of the race, before dropping in the final laps, but still managing to take home bronze.

JC managed to pick up another two medals with Grace Chandler from LACC and Julia Pappas from ATTA-NSW picking up gold and silver respectively in the under 9 girls road race

The best part of the weekend was watching the new riders get a taste of Waratah Park at a metropolitan championship level. -Congratulations to all the riders.

A big thank you goes out to Southern Cross Cycling Club for putting on another great Metros and SX Junior Open.

See you all at the InterSchool Sunday Funday at Lansdowne.
