Large JC Contingent at Central Coast Track Open

The JC kids and their families travelled up to West Gosford to compete in the Central Coast Track Open.

The event was a great opportunity for the younger kids to get a taste of some of the events normally left for older kids including a flying 200 and keirin races.

The JC kids were one of the largest groups of kids at the carnival, making up a quarter of the field. The only group with more riders was the hosting club, Central Coast CC.

Notable mentions by JC riders include:

Overall places
JG9 Gold, Grace Chandler
JG9 Silver, Julia Pappas
JG11 Silver, Sarah Allwork
JB11 Gold, Kai Goltman

Georgia Bonora won the U13 wheelrace and so did Sarah Allwork in the U11s. Samantha Allwork came fifth in the Handicap Elimination race with both Grace and Julia hanging in for a very long time too. A great effort for such young competitors in a big field and on a large track, equating to many long laps.

A big thank you goes out to Central Coast Cycling Club for putting on another very well run event. The junior events were just a small part of a very long day for the CCCC volunteers.
