Special Events

We do lots more than just training and racing, because riding should be about fun. During the year riders and families are encouraged to take on group ride challenges and bike adventures. Here are some of the types of activities we run:

  • Explore the bike trails all the way to Parramatta.
  • Visit Sydney City on bike including lunch in Hyde Park.
  • Christmas carnivals and family race night.
  • Christmas Ride to the Opera House.
  • Mystery adventures in Sydney Olympic Park including stations and clues to find along the way.
  • Family participation rides including entering a group into Sydney Spring Cycle and Amy Gillett Foundation rides.
  • Bike safari ride day – families join us at the end of the Georges River Bike trail for a picnic at the beach.

Clinics

Clinics are specialised training sessions with a clear outcome goal and they focus on different skills and or age groups. Clinics are held on a variety of skills and at different locations ranging from pre-riding open event courses, come and try track riding, open pathway skills, closed circuit racing and mountain bike confidence building sessions. Clinic’s have a set fee for attendance and are open to all riders that meet the set requirements for the training. For example clinics will indicate if they are open road or closed circuit training environments and the skill level required for attendance.

Holiday Camps

20150928_101159Every school holidays we plan a special event that includes a full day of bike activities to keep your child having fun and learning more skills in a range of new environments.

So far we have run Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) Safaris, mountain bike days at Mt Annan and Yellomundee, BMX and four-cross visits, bike skills and track days and always end up the day with a shared BBQ for parents and children.

This day is for Junior Cyclists and their immediate families only. We welcome all parents where possible to join us on the ride trails.
